Primary pharma cold chain labels

Primary pharma cold chain blood bag labels are pre-applied by the manufacturer to blood bags, which are then filled with anticoagulant and sterilised with steam heat. These labels carry identifying information, batch numbers, and codes for traceability. 
 

Secondary cold chain and blood bag labels

Applied during blood processing, secondary cold chain labels are used when plasma and red blood cells are placed in separate bags or containers. These labels provide donor details, expiration information and a matrix tracking bar code.
