Heavy Industrial Labelling™ range

Tracking information can be added to raw materials such as metal, timber, stone and others  in many ways - including hanging tags and self-adhesive labels. Some materials are hot when they need to be labelled, and others can be rough, dusty or oily.

Tracking hot metal parts as they leave the oven is critical for segments like the steel and metal industry. Labels for hot metals must withstand very hostile environments and very high temperatures. Applying labels early in the manufacturing process is important, because quality control and production efficiency depend heavily on traceability and identification. Conventional solutions include riveting or welding plates onto parts, the use of handwritten chalk, or waiting for parts to cool. These approaches can increase production time, error rates and cost.

The Avery Dennison Heavy Industrial Labelling portfolio allows label converters to offer manufacturers a highly effective alternative – an easy-to-apply label that ensures traceability throughout the manufacturing process.

These new aluminium hot metal labels materials offer extremely high abrasion and solvent resistance for thermal transfer print. They can also withstand peak temperatures up to +550°C. A self-adhesive option and a hanging tag option are available.
