Statement on the compostability and bio-degradability, European Standards for Compostable Packaging, EN13432, require packaging to be compostable and bio-degradable under industrial composting conditions. The majority of paper face stocks supplied by Avery Dennison – Label and Packaging Materials are viewed as chemically unmodified paper materials, coming from a natural origin, so they can be accepted as biodegradable without testing.
